While Im happy with the Vikings current winning streak and their improved play, I will reserve judgment and praise of their recent performance until after this weeks game with the Pittsburgh steelers.

Pittsburgh is a good team with an 8-5 record. They will provide the toughest competition that the Vikings have faced in the past six weeks.

We will finally see if the Vikings are a legitimate playoff contender.

now I want to return to an old story called Cruisegate where alleged Vikings players took part in a sex party with prostitutes on board a minnesota cruise.

It seems as if winning is the only thing that matters to Minnesotas media, fans and Vikings ownership.

now that the Vikings are winning, the media seems to have shelved this story. The media was convinced that some Vikings players exhibited horrible, immoral and even illegal behavior.

To date media and law enforcement officials have not exonerated Vikings players who allegedly took part in Cruisegate. In fact at least one law enforcement agency has turned the case over to prosecutors to be reviewed.

Were now waiting to see what the FBI and Hennepin county Sheriffs Office does with the case.

Can we assume that the media only reports wrongful and illegal behavior of professional athletes when sports teams in their city are losing? Does the media only care about winning?

Im not sure of the answers to those questions but it does look like it.

The fans are also to blame for the story being shelved. When the Vikings were losing, fans were outraged by the Vikings alleged actions in Cruisegate. The fans were demanding that law enforcement and team officials take action.

now that the Vikings are winning they dont seem to care about Cruisegate anymore. They only seem to care that their team is winning.

The ownership of the Vikings also seems to have turned a blind eye to the whole affair. Shortly after the story about Crusiegate was made public, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf held a press conference. He promised the community of the Twin Cities that his team would deal with the players involved and that they would be disciplined.

He wasnt even denying the alleged actions of his players. now that his team is winning, he seems to have forgotten his promise to the people of minnesota.

The actions of the media, Vikings fans and Vikings ownership are terrible. I believe that they only care about winning football games. Doing the right thing, being a good and productive citizen and following the law seems to mean nothing to the media, fans and ownership.

As long as the Vikings are winning, it seems as if its ok for Vikings players to do what they want. They are free to urinate on someones lawn and then allegedly take part in a sex party with prostitutes. I guess its a win win situation for the devil, isnt it.

hitting the ball from uneven lies is one of the hardest things to do in golf and is one of the reasons why golf is so hard. Once you get out on the course, it is not flat like the driving range, and in order to shoot low scores and save as many strokes as possible you must know how to play form uneven lies.

Today i’m going to focus on teaching you how to play when the ball is below your feet as well as when it is above your feet. The good news is that these shots are not all that hard once you make the proper setup adjustments!

playing when the ball is below your feet:

When the ball is below your feet you will feel as if you have to lean way over and really stretch to reach the ball. This is the major mistake that most golfers make when playing this shot, they bend too far forward from the waist to get down to the ball. This totally changes their body angles in the shot and causes mishits. Instead of bending more forward at the waist to get down to the ball, you need to bend your knees until your club reaches the ball. The angle that you bend forward should be exactly the same as that of a regular shot. So, when the ball is below your feet, bend those knees to get down to the ball.

Playing when the ball is above your feet:

When the ball is above your feet you need to flex your knees a whole lot less, and you want to have the feeling of standing nice and tall. In addition, because the ball is now higher up the distance between you and the ball is a lot shorter. So you will need to choke up on the club. making these 2 adjustments will put you in a good position to make your regular swing, although it will end up being a little flatter because the ball is up higher.

One thing to keep in mind when playing these shots is that you will tend to miss in a certain direction for each type of shot. When the ball is below your feet the tendency is the miss a little bit to the right. And likewise when the ball is above your feet you will tend to miss to the left, so aim accordingly!

So, there you can see that playing from uneven lies is not that hard once you know how, so get out there and start practicing!

VoIP stands for "Voice over Internet Protocol." A VoIP phone, (or "broadband phone") is a phone service which connects to your existing high-speed Internet connection for the purpose of making and receiving phone calls.

With a traditional landline, you use your phone to make calls over the copper wires running on traditional telephone poles.

There are two kinds of VoIP services: phone-based and computer-based.

With phone-based services, you use your standard phone equipment. With computer-based services you plug a headset and microphone into your computer and make calls that way.

"How do I receive or make a VoIP phone call?"

With a phone-based service you'd do what you always do: pick up the phone to answer it or dial a number to place a call. You won't notice any difference, really.

With a computer-based service, you can make (or receive) calls using a headset and microphone that's plugged into your computer.

"Can I call any phone or just another VoIP phone?"

Most providers now enable you to call any phone number in the world -- local calls, long-distance calls, calls to cellphones, or even international numbers.

However, there are still some computer-based VoIP services providers that still limit you to calling other subscribers to that service (what they call "User to User").

Either way, you'll probably have the option of getting several kinds of features as part of your VoIP services: speaking with more than one person at a time with "Conference calling" or "Three-way calling", caller ID, etc.

"How's the voice quality?"

The quality of VoIP services have improved quite a bit over the years to the extent that you probably won't be able to tell the difference between VoIP and a standard landline.

However, voice clarity may vary depending on the specific VoIP services provider. It can also depend on the speed and quality of your high-speed Internet connection.

Before you sign up, you may want to talk to other users of the service you are considering.

"Do I need a computer to make or receive calls?"

Not if you have a phone-based VoIP service. You will need an adapter (which you can get from the VoIP services provider). This adapter will connect your phone to your high-speed internet connection.

You'll need a computer if you use computer-based VoIP services.

"Do I do anything different to make a long-distance call versus a local call?"

No difference. What may be different is how much you are charged to make the call, based on who you go with for your VoIP services. But generally speaking, long-distance rates are pretty low. Not only that: many VoIP services providers will make unlimited long-distance a standard feature of their plans.

"OK, let's get technical. How do VoIP services work?"

Like it says, Voice over IP means you are using Internet protocols to make and receive phone calls. More specifically, you are using packet switching technology instead of the more traditional circuit switching used in "old-fashioned" phone systems.

What this means is that your call is converted into small digital packets, each of which is marked to indicate that it is part of a larger message. Then it is compressed and sent on its way over several different pathways or routes. Traditional phone systems would use a single route, which was not very efficient -- too much wasted capacity. The routes are chosen depending on network congestion, etc.

At the other end, the packets are put back together in the proper sequence, then decompressed and converted back into a voice message that your party can understand.
